Terms of Use

Updated November 7, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Leechline ("we"), based in London, Ontario, Canada, for the Leechline apps, website, browser extension and service. By creating an account or using Leechline, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

Who can use Leechline

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.
  • Keep your email address accurate and your password private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.

What Leechline does

Leechline helps you plan tasks and schedules time blocks before your deadlines. If you turn it on, it blocks apps you choose (and, with the browser extension, websites you choose) during those blocks until you submit a proof photo that our AI check approves. Blocking is a tool you choose for yourself:

  • You pick which apps are blocked, and you can change them in Settings.
  • You get one emergency unlock every 7 days.
  • You can turn blocking off at any time in your phone's settings (Screen Time on iPhone, Accessibility on Android).
  • Don't block apps you may need for your safety, health or job, such as phone, messages, maps or medical apps.
  • In the browser extension, you pick which websites are blocked and can remove the extension at any time.

Proof checks and AI

Proof checks and the assistant use AI. They can make mistakes in either direction, and we don't promise any particular result. The assistant's plans and time estimates are suggestions. You stay responsible for your own work and deadlines.

Only photograph things you have the right to. Don't include other people without their permission, identity documents, or anything illegal or explicit.

Subscriptions and the free trial

  • Leechline needs a subscription after a 14-day free trial. Each store account gets one free trial.
  • Prices are shown in the app and in the store before you buy. Taxes may apply.
  • Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase, or when your free trial ends.
  • On leechline.ca, subscriptions are sold by Leechline and billed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see your full card number. One subscription covers the app, the website and the browser extension on the same Leechline account.
  • Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, or from Settings, Manage payment in Leechline.
  • If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. For web purchases, email support@leechline.ca within 14 days of a charge.
  • If a price changes, the store tells you ahead of time and asks for your consent where required.

Your content

You own the tasks, text and photos you put into Leechline. You let us store and process them, and send them to our service providers, only to run Leechline for you as the Privacy Policy describes. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies the law requires us to keep.

Acceptable use

Don't use Leechline to:

  • break the law or anyone's rights;
  • upload content that is illegal, hateful, sexual or violent, or that you don't have the right to share;
  • access other people's data or our systems without permission;
  • copy, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it;
  • overload our service or send automated requests to it;
  • monitor or pressure someone else without their consent.

Our app

Leechline's software, design, assistants, orb and logo belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and your app store's rules. We can end this licence if you break these terms.

Changes and availability

We may add, change or remove features, and Leechline may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance. We'll tell you ahead of time about major changes when we reasonably can.

Ending your account

You can stop using Leechline at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, with notice when reasonable. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as disclaimers and limits of liability, continue after your account ends.

Disclaimers

Leechline is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, that it will block every app every time, that proof checks will be correct, or that it will help you meet any deadline, grade or goal.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Leechline isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, missed deadlines, grades or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Leechline is limited to what you paid for Leechline in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places, including Quebec, don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

If you got Leechline from Apple's App Store

  • These terms are between you and Leechline only, not Apple. Leechline, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence lets you use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions allow.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Leechline, not Apple, is responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law.
  • Leechline, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending and settling any claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property.
  • You confirm that you're not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you're not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your wireless data agreement.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Send questions, complaints or claims about the app to support@leechline.ca.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the laws where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts where that law allows.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Leechline after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using Leechline and delete your account.
